Chinese snuff bottle painting is an old art form, practized for generations. Originally this was art with practical application (decoration of bottles inteded for real, practical use) but later the art form has taken other forms, with decoration of all kinds of bottles.
The bottles are painted from the inside by skilled painters. Motives are often from everyday life or tales.
